Jetlagd Impact Score
Every Trip. Scored for Impact.

Carbon
Every Kilo of Carbon. Accounted For.
Every Jetlagd trip generates a carbon footprint — flights, ground transport, accommodation. We calculate it for every journey, and we plant trees calibrated to sequester that carbon over their lifetime.
The trees are real. The planting is verified. And the numbers are honest — we don't cherry-pick what we measure or claim neutrality we haven't earned. Every trip. Every time.
As we grow, we will publish per-trip carbon data and move toward independently audited offset mechanisms. For now, this is where we start — and we start with every booking.
Local Economy
Your Money Should Stay Where You Travel.
The most direct form of sustainable travel is economic. We design every Jetlagd trip to maximise spend within the destination — local guides, locally-owned stays, local food, local transport operators.
We are building the systems to measure and publish this — what percentage of every trip's cost flows directly to the local economy. We will share that data openly, because we believe you have the right to know not just where you're going, but where your money goes.

Community
Access to a Place Carries Responsibility Toward It.
The destinations we travel to are not backdrops. They are communities with economies, ecosystems, and futures that our presence affects — for better or worse.
A portion of every Jetlagd trip is allocated to community initiatives at the destinations we operate in — conservation, education, local livelihoods. This is built into our pricing, not added on top. We are formalising these partnerships now and will name them publicly as they are established.
Each trip will carry its Impact Score visibly on the trip page — three numbers, plainly stated. No greenwashing. No vague commitments. Just what the trip does, measured honestly.
We are completing our first full year of operations before publishing scores — because we believe a number you can trust is worth more than a number published too soon. The Jetlagd Impact Score launches in 2027.
How We Travel?
Small Groups. Considered Routes. Lighter Footprint.
Group travel done well is inherently more sustainable than going alone — one vehicle, one accommodation block, one footprint shared across people who chose to be there together. Our groups are small by design.
We prioritise overland and rail where practical. We spend meaningfully in fewer places rather than rushing through many. And we think seriously about how we route every trip —
because the way you travel matters as much as where you go.
Our Commitment
Honest About Where We Are.
Clear About Where We're Going.
We are a young company. We don't have the infrastructure of travel brands that have been doing this for decades, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we have is a commitment to building this way from day one — sustainability factored into our pricing, our partnerships, and our operations, not retrofitted later when it's more convenient.
Every year, we will publish what we've done: carbon data, local spend percentages, community contributions. Starting from our first full year of operations. If you have questions about our approach, we welcome them. Write to us at sustainability@jetlagd.com
