We travel to places that are genuinely worth going to — which sometimes means they are unfamiliar, remote, or complex. That's the point. But unfamiliar doesn't mean unsafe when the planning is right.
Every Jetlagd destination is assessed before a trip is confirmed — political stability, local health conditions, ground transport safety, accommodation standards, and emergency access. We work only with local operators and guides who know their terrain and whose standards we have personally evaluated.
If a destination changes between booking and departure in a way that meaningfully affects your safety, we will tell you immediately and give you options. We don't take travellers to places we wouldn't go ourselves.

Our groups are small by design — typically between 8 and 16 people. This is not just about the experience. It means your guide knows every person in the group, can account for everyone at all times, and can move quickly and decisively if the situation demands it.
We maintain 24-hour emergency contact for all active trips. If something happens on the road — a medical incident, a natural event, a political development — our team is reachable immediately, and we have protocols in place for every category of incident.

Confident Travel Starts With Awareness.
The best security is the kind that doesn't have to be activated. We brief every traveller on the specific conditions of their destination before and during the trip — neighbourhoods to be aware of, local scams to know about, how to handle your documents and valuables, and how to get help fast if you need it.
A few principles we ask every traveller to carry: Keep digital and physical copies of your passport, visa, and insurance documents stored separately from the originals. Share your itinerary with someone at home before you leave.
Our pre-trip document makes this easy. Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, step away and find your group or guide. Know your nearest embassy or consulate. We include this in every pre-trip document. Use only licensed, pre-arranged transport. Your guide will arrange all ground transfers on Jetlagd trips — do not accept rides from unlicensed operators.

If Something Goes Wrong
We Don't Disappear When It Gets Difficult.
Travel is unpredictable. Medical situations happen. Weather disrupts plans. Political conditions change. We have never pretended otherwise, and we don't leave you to manage these moments alone.
If you experience a medical emergency on a Jetlagd trip, your local guide will coordinate immediate response — getting you to the nearest appropriate medical facility and liaising with your insurance provider.
We stay with you until you are stable and supported. If a trip needs to be suspended, modified, or cancelled due to safety conditions beyond our control, we will communicate with every affected traveller directly and promptly.

Code of Conduct
How We Travel Together.
Jetlagd trips bring together people who share an obsession — not people who simply booked the same package. That shared intention creates a different kind of group dynamic. But we believe in making it explicit.
Every traveller is expected to treat fellow group members, local guides, and the communities we visit with respect. Behaviour that creates an unsafe or hostile environment for any member of the group will not be tolerated. Our guides have the authority to address conduct that falls below this standard, up to and including removing a traveller from a trip without refund in serious cases.
This applies equally to our team. If anyone representing Jetlagd behaves in a way that makes you feel unsafe or disrespected, we want to know. That report goes directly to leadership.
